As every year we introduce our students in different types of activities to promote the oral comprehension of this language. One of our favourite outings is theatre.
This term we are preparing an interesting and well-known play called “Oliver Twist”. We’ve been working on the story of this novel and also with the life facts of its author Charles Dickens.

As every year, we’ve been working in a theatre project. In that occasion, we’ve selected an adaptation of a Mark Twain’s novel. A Yankee in King Arthur’s Court is a modern play about one of the most famous books ever written. It is a funny way to show students a bit of culture and a lot of English. In fact, it is a complementary experience that gives the opportunity to improve the learning of the English language.

24 de febrer!! Són les 10 del matí i ens dirigim cap al teatre Ateneu. Aquesta vegada toca anar a veure una obra de teatre en anglès. Snow White !!! Uff! quina il·lusió!!
Serà tot en anglès per tal que poguem aprendre coses noves en aquesta llengua.
Ja fa uns dies que a l'escola hi hem començat a treballar. Els noms dels personatges, el vocabulari i les frases més importants, LES CANÇONS!!!!
Cap a les 11 estem en plena funció i ens ho estem passant d'allò més bé!!! Estem escoltant amb molta atenció i ja hem cantat algunes de les cançons amb els personatges de l'obra.
Les 12! la funció s'ha acabat! Quina llàstima!! Ara ens dirigim cap a l'exterior del teatre i… Caram!!!! Quina sorpresa!!!!! Les nostres mestres han demanat als actors si es volien fer una fotografia amb nosaltres!!! Toquem The Prince…. Eps!!! Snow White al meu costat!!!! i les titelles dels Dwarft!!!!

Amb l’objectiu de completar les activitats de l’aula, els grups de 1r i 2n de Primària el pròxim dimarts 27 podran gaudir de l’obra de teatre en anglès “Rudolph”.
En aquesta ocasió ens dirigirem al teatre de l’Aurora d’Igualada per veure un espectacle ambientat en personatges nadalencs com són el “Father Christmas” i, amb especial protagonisme, el seu cérvol “Rudolph”.
Una oportunitat per conèixer diferents elements i celebracions culturals d’altres països.

Ja hem inicat les classes i tenim el primer projecte d'anglès en marxa, es tracte de l'obra de teatre en anglès que anirem a veure el pròxim mes de novembre "LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD" (la caputxeta vermella). Des de l'escola estem treballant el vocabulari bàsic i també, les cançons que podrem escoltar al llarg de la representació.
